Medicvent’s effective breathing systems and evacuation systems for gas leakage and surplus gas can also be used when anesthetizing animals.  The specially-designed masks work for most animals when using a laryngeal mask. The system provides excellent protection for staff members from exposure to gas leakage. There are studies regarding the use of the Medicvent evacuation systems for animals. Lunds Veterinary Service has constructed an addition to their facilities in 2016, and installed Medicvents evacuation system in this process. Anne Heine, Chief Veterinary, believes that it is important to invest in the working environment and not to expose staff members to unnecessary risks, especially in consideration to the high percentage of female staff members of reproductive age.
